This October, I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot Colton Hayne and Jeff Leatham's (Cher meets a Guns 'N Roses themed) wedding. I'm not one who invests much time into the lives of celebrities, so it was fun being pulled into their world for a night and getting to interact with all the big names and personalities. Among the star studded guest list were Chelsea Clinton (I thought those bodyguards looked like secret service), Stephen Amell, Lisa Rinna, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and of course Kris Jenner who came to officiate the ceremony.
In the end, a couple of my photos were featured in People Magazine. They will be publishing a physical copy on Nov 6th so keep an eye out! I will be sharing the rest of the photos here when they are released.
The Clubhouse at Covenant Hills is an intimate event venue perfect for a private wedding ceremony and indoor reception. The yard in the back was softly lit during the ceremony, and the dance floor was just the right size to fit roughly 100 + guests (and to bounce some light off the white walls for photos). If you're considering using this venue for your next party, I highly recommend it!

Yesterday, I had the unreal opportunity to shoot one of my great high school friend's proposal! I've never seen her so happy in my life. Adam definitely set the bar high for all us guys out there. After a sushi date, he took her back to this venue where they first met 3 years ago at a company Christmas party. Shooting at this hall was definitely a unique privilege considering there were no events that day and had the entire venue to ourselves. There were a bunch of little side rooms with old school wooden furniture, a huge bank vault, and a killer marble staircase where Adam took one knee and asked for Danni's hand in marriage. It was definitely a dream to shoot here, especially with such a good looking couple!
When my new client came in from Texas, he knew he wanted to propose to his girlfriend at the beautiful and intimate Corona Del Mar beach. Despite not having met in preson, I patiently waited on the beach for him to find me and give me the signal. They made it down to the beach just as the sun was hitting the horizon, which is when he got on one knee. We couldn't have asked for a better golden hour to capture this awesome moment!
A couple weeks ago, the same childhood friend who had taught me to ride my first Honda XR-70 reached out about doing this photo shoot along the Pacific Coast Highway. When he told me his vision, I knew that the stretch from Newport Beach to Laguna Beach would be the perfect place to capture the long stretches of Highway 1 where the road meets the ocean. These photos turned out to be some of my favorite from 2017 so far, and totally represent what California dreaming is all about.
