The Hotel Bel-Air is a magical location in Los Angeles tucked away in the hills and neighborhoods of Bel Air. The entire outskirts of the hotel is a self-contained, well-manicured botanical garden, fit with bridges, ponds, miniature waterfalls, and resident swans. Quit looking at me swan! The Bride & Groom chose the outdoor Gazebo for their intimate ceremony of 20 guests. While the large grass park near the Gazebo and pond can definitely fit more people, the layout of the grounds suggests it is better suited for an intimate gathering versus a larger celebration. From the tall building that towers overhead like a steeple, to the outdoor gazebo, this hotel is definitely an awesome place to have an intimate wedding ceremony and reception.

This lovely couple flew into John Wayne Airport from Seattle in late Winter for an isolated and beautiful beach Elopement in Laguna Beach. Diver's Cove on the North side of main beach offered them just the intimate setting for which they we're looking to elope.
This October, I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot Colton Hayne and Jeff Leatham's (Cher meets a Guns 'N Roses themed) wedding. I'm not one who invests much time into the lives of celebrities, so it was fun being pulled into their world for a night and getting to interact with all the big names and personalities. Among the star studded guest list were Chelsea Clinton (I thought those bodyguards looked like secret service), Stephen Amell, Lisa Rinna, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and of course Kris Jenner who came to officiate the ceremony.
In the end, a couple of my photos were featured in People Magazine. They will be publishing a physical copy on Nov 6th so keep an eye out! I will be sharing the rest of the photos here when they are released.
The Clubhouse at Covenant Hills is an intimate event venue perfect for a private wedding ceremony and indoor reception. The yard in the back was softly lit during the ceremony, and the dance floor was just the right size to fit roughly 100 + guests (and to bounce some light off the white walls for photos). If you're considering using this venue for your next party, I highly recommend it!

Yesterday, I had the unreal opportunity to shoot one of my great high school friend's proposal! I've never seen her so happy in my life. Adam definitely set the bar high for all us guys out there. After a sushi date, he took her back to this venue where they first met 3 years ago at a company Christmas party. Shooting at this hall was definitely a unique privilege considering there were no events that day and had the entire venue to ourselves. There were a bunch of little side rooms with old school wooden furniture, a huge bank vault, and a killer marble staircase where Adam took one knee and asked for Danni's hand in marriage. It was definitely a dream to shoot here, especially with such a good looking couple!
When my new client came in from Texas, he knew he wanted to propose to his girlfriend at the beautiful and intimate Corona Del Mar beach. Despite not having met in preson, I patiently waited on the beach for him to find me and give me the signal. They made it down to the beach just as the sun was hitting the horizon, which is when he got on one knee. We couldn't have asked for a better golden hour to capture this awesome moment!
This past April 2017, I had a repeat client reach out to shoot her aunt's upcoming bridal shower. When I had researched the Alcove Cafe & Bakery, all I found were images of the front of the house. I had no idea they had this cool little cottage hiding in the back for private parties. With an old fashioned door, vintage paintings, and soft light coming from the curtained windows, I couldn't have asked for a better venue to shoot at!
If your looking for an intimate setting for private parties, meetings or special events, I highly recommend The Alcove's private cottage.
When my last bride and groom gave me the green light to find an incredible location for their first look before their wedding ceremony, I took it upon myself to drive around the gorgeous coast line of Palos Verdes to find the best spot available. Because of enormous amount of wealth in the area, many of the best overlooks and shaded areas were blocked by gated entrances and signs marking 'private property. Turn back or else.' I pulled U-turn after U-turn, checking inside every nook and cranny to find an ocean view, or any trail that resembled a rustic past. When I was about to meet my wit's end, I reached St. Francis Episcopal Church at the North end of Palos Verdes.
I spotted this historic building out of the corner of my left eye while driving north along PCH, and immediately swung across highway 1 to park my car. I jumped out of my car and literally ran around the grounds in utter aw of the beauty. I knew this was our spot. The couple I would be working with were devout Christians, and this venue had God peeking out from every corner. Take a look at some of the photos from the first look, and let me know what you think of this one of a kind venue (not to mention the good looking couple ;) ).

Irvine's Mariner's Chapel in Orange County California is a gorgeous wooden chapel, fit for any large wedding congregation. It was truly a pleasure shooting shooting this beautiful wedding party there, and experimenting with the many vantage points and perspectives both inside and outside the venue. Despite how incredible this venue is, it is extremely affordable. Wedding reservations can be made up to 12 months in advanced, with all weddings in the Chapel costing $2000 with a 50% deposit due at booking. This gives you 4 hours of time at the chapel, which is plenty of time to conduct any traditional or modern wedding.
